The number of unemployed Filipinos stands at 3.07 million according to the PSA

The number of unemployed Filipinos dropped slightly in July.
According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the unemployment rate was 3.07 million or 6.9 percent in July.
This is down from 3.73 million or 7.7 percent unemployed in June.
But according to the PSA, it may increase in the month of August due to the re-implementation of ehanced community quarantine due to the high COVID-19 case.
Metro Manila was subjected to ECQ last month.
Under the ECQ, only essential businesses are allowed to open an operation.
