According to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA), COVID-19 booster shots will be given to those aged 75 and above next month.
They also clarified that children who are healthy and do not have any diseases will not be vaccinated.
KDCA Director Jeong Eun-Kyong also said that Pfizer shots will be given to ages 12-17.
As of August, the US has vaccinated about 50% of children aged 12-17.
Several countries in Europe and Asia recommend the vaccine to that age group.
