Setting for 2025 of the BARMM polls, loophole in the Senate

The postponement of the elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has passed the third and final reading of the Senate.

It is set for the month of May 2022, but due to the reasons given, the legislators are more in favor of setting it for someone else.

According to the proposal, BARMM elections will only be held in 2025.

The number of votes recorded was 15 in favor of the postponement, three against and one who did not take part in the voting.
