Phl Red Cross provided cash assistance to families affected by the pandemic

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has provided up to P81,074,000 cash assistance to affected families in 45 municipalities and 27,791 barangays in the country.
In a statement, the PRC said many lost their jobs due to the implemented nationwide lockdown.
According to the PRC, up to 23,164 families from Metro Manila, Olongapo, Bulacan, Rizal, Western Samar, Leyte, and Cebu were given P3,500 each.
The PRC partners in this cash distribution with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the American Red Cross, and the Netherlands Red Cross.
