NBA great Patrick Ewing, disappointed with MSG security

NBA great Patrick Ewing is furious after he was repeatedly stopped by security personnel at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

In a press conference after the victory of his team Georgetown against Villanova in the Big East tournament, Ewing said that the MSG security personnel always stopped him.

“I do want to say one thing, though. I thought this was my building, ”said Ewing. “And I feel terrible that I’m getting stopped, accosted, [people] asking for passes.

“Everybody in this building should know who the hell I am, and I’m getting stopped – I can’t move around this building. I was like, ‘What the hell? Is this Madison Square Garden? ‘”

It is not yet clear which of the MSG security personnel the Hall of Famer is referring to.

Knicks owner James Dolan later spoke to Ewing and said they reaffirmed their long-standing relationship.

If you recall the 7-footer Ewing was 11 times named All-Star in his 15 seasons with the Knicks, and twice more led the team to the NBA Finals.
