More than 10% of the Phl population is fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Just over 10 percent of the Philippine population has been vaccinated against COVID-19, according to vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr.

Galvez said this after more than 300,000 Moderna vaccines arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) yesterday.

Galvez said that more than 24.1 million vaccines of different brands have been used in various parts of the country, of which 12.9 million are the first dose and 11.2 million are the second dose.

The total number of people who have been injected with the second dose represents 15.88 percent of the targeted eligible population and 10.13 percent of the total population.
