The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will temporarily suspend the issuance of voter’s certification to all Offices of the Election Officer from September 27 to 30, 2021.
It aims to focus on the last week of voter registration.
“The Commission anticipates an influx of last-minute registrants as we get closer to the deadline. And given the limited number of field personnel, we must endeavor to make the full use of our limited manpower and resources incatering to applicants for voter registration, â€explained Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez.
However, the issuance of voter’s certification at the Comelec’s main office in Intramuros, Manila will not be affected.
Registered voters can obtain voter’s certification at the agency’s National Central File Division (NCFD) satellite office.
To apply, you only need a valid ID, a copy, and a fee of P75.
It is free for senior citizens, people with disabilities, members of Indigenous People (IP) and Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs), and solo parents.
