Implementation of health protocols, will be intensified after the registration of the first Lambda variant in the country

The government will further restrict the implementation of health protocols in the country against COVID-19.
This is after the Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that the COVID-19 Lambda variant has entered the country.
According to Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, the government will not change its pandemic prevention strategy but will only intensify the implementation of health protocols.
It is the wearing of a mask, constant hand washing and physical distancing of one meter.
The government will also intensify the widespread vaccination against COVID-19 in various parts of the country.
According to the DOH, a 35-year-old woman tested positive for the Lambda variant but has since recovered.
