Christmas will be even happier in the year 2021.
According to Presidential spokesman Harry Roque, this is because 80 percent of the population in Metro manila has been vaccinated against COVID-19.
According to Roque, since 70 to 80 percent of the population in Metro Manila has been vaccinated, Filipinos may be able to gradually return to their former way of life.
“But I think, Christmas will definitely be happier now that 80% of the people in Metro Manila are almost vaccinated,” Roque said.
At the same time, Roque said the Palace is leaving it to the Department of Health (DOH) to decide whether to relax the quarantine classification now that the number of COVID-19 victims is declining.
But according to Roque, the government and the people must still be determined to get vaccinated to ensure adequate protection against COVID-19.
