2022 national budget, to be submitted to Congress on August 23

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) targets to submit to Congress the 2022 national budget by August 23 in the year 2021.
According to DBM Assistant Secretary Rolando Toledo, they are finalizing the fiscal year 2022 national expenditure program.
According to Toledo, the national budget for next year includes the allocation of funds for the government’s social protection program.
This is also in preparation for the possible financial assistance that can be given to the poorest Filipinos in case the COVID-19 threat continues next year and community quarantine needs to be tightened again.
According to Toledo, these social protection programs include the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, sustainable livelihood program and other social services programs of the DSWD.
